(MURFREESBORO) Shortly after 4:00 o'clock Thursday afternoon (6/3/2021) a fatal crash occurred in the westbound lane of I-24 (toward Nashville), between South Church Street and the New Salem Highway. A 2017 Peterbilt tractor-trailer rig driven by 50 year old Brian Barcorft of Bush Creek, Tennessee ran off the side of the interstate, striking an overhead sign and utility pole. The sign hung over the interstate and it fell into the roadway.
It reportedly fell in front of another tractor trai .
